Parabéns, Filipa!

Congrats, Filipa!

If you've ever called us, chances are you spoke to Filipa.

If you message us, if you have questions about a product, if you want to add something to an order, if you need a suggestion or simply don't quite know what to do with that strange thing you just received, chances are Filipa is the one on the other end.

She's often the one behind the phone taking down your orders, confirming deliveries, finding solutions, giving suggestions and, above all, listening to you. She knows who orders what, who likes a particular product, who always needs a certain thing, and who shows up with a question nobody had ever thought to answer.

Filipa is part of the side of Microgreens you don't see in the boxes. And now she's gotten married. Which, on its own, would already be big enough news to deserve a post.

But there's more!
Filipa is going to Japan for her honeymoon. And we're pretty curious to see what's going to happen.

Because spending years working at Microgreens, surrounded by chefs, ingredients, new products, flavors, trends and conversations about food creates a small problem: at some point, you can't travel anymore without looking at everything through the eyes of someone who works in food.

We're sure Filipa will try things she's never tried before, walk into shops wanting to bring half the stock back to Portugal, discover ingredients we probably don't have in our catalog yet, and come back with an endless list of things we “really need to try”.

And, knowing her, it wouldn't surprise us at all if she spent half the trip asking how something is grown, what it's called, when it's harvested, or why it has that texture.

That's what happens when you work every day with people who think about food in a very particular way. Food stops being just what's on the plate. It becomes a kind of "occupational hazard".

So while she's away, we'll be here doing what we do every day: answering phones, preparing orders, replying to messages and trying to make sure nothing slips.

Without Filipa, of course.

For a few days, the phone will belong to someone else. And honestly, we think she deserves it. She deserves to switch off. She deserves to get married. She deserves to travel. She deserves to get lost in Japan and spend a few days not knowing what time it is in Portugal, not hearing about orders, and not having anyone ask her if we can still get that product ready for tomorrow.

Enjoy it, Filipa! Eat. Travel. Discover.

And come back! We've got customers to take care of :)
