Growth isn’t always about doing more of the same. Often, it’s about solving what insists on going wrong every year.
For us, summer has always been one of those challenges.
Excessive heat, intense radiation, plants that simply can’t cope. There are varieties that suffer no matter how careful we are. And every year, between July and September, there are moments when production becomes... difficult. Inconsistent. A real test.
Pansies are a prime example. Delicate, demanding, and with little tolerance for extreme heat, they end up being one of our biggest headaches at this time of year.
That is precisely why we decided to take the next step.
We are setting up a new greenhouse. A cold greenhouse, equipped with a cooling system, designed to create more stable conditions during the hottest months. The goal is simple: to protect these varieties, reduce heat stress, and finally guarantee consistency where it has been a challenge until now.
At the same time, this investment allows us to increase our production capacity and meet a demand that has been clearly growing.
It’s not just growth for growth’s sake. It’s growth with intention. Solving real problems. Improving what we already do. And continuing to raise the bar for the product, even during the toughest times of the year.
If everything goes as expected, this summer will be different. And, for the first time, maybe it will stop feeling like a horror movie. *fingers crossed*
