Quando a luz se apaga

When the lights go out

Today Europe went dark.

In an instant, what we take for granted — light, communication, routine — vanished. The lights went out, the screens went black, the phones fell silent.

Suddenly, we realised just how fragile our lives are. How they depend on invisible threads, on silent infrastructures that, when they fail, leave us lost in the dark. We were at the mercy of what we had long forgotten: silence, waiting, vulnerability.

The blackout was not just electrical, it was also mental. It was a blow to our illusion of control.

Perhaps we need to stop in order to see.

To see that without energy no city can endure. That without networks there are no businesses, no schools, no hospitals.
To see that our daily rush, our incessant consumption, the constant noise... all depend on something we do not control.

Here, thanks to our solar panels and batteries, we managed to keep operations running at 100%. We continued to produce, harvest, pack, and prepare orders. Because nothing stops this commitment to our customers.

But not everything is within our control…

A blackout like this is not just an inconvenience. It is a reminder.

It reminds us that autonomy is precious, that the freedom we feel can be taken away in a breath, that technology, even when it seems indestructible, is as vulnerable as we are.

And perhaps, in the midst of this failure, we can find a sign.

A sign that we need more resilience, more alternatives, more awareness.

Today, in the forced silence, we ask ourselves:
— Are we prepared for a world where certainty does not exist?
— Can we adapt without fear, without anger, without blaming chance?

Because life is exactly that: learning to live with uncertainty and still moving forward.

Today the light failed, but we must not lose courage.
